Der Fachbereich Forensische Toxikologie des Landesinstituts für gerichtliche und soziale Me-dizin Berlin (GerMed) führt im Auftrag der Staatsanwalt Berlin chemisch-toxikologische Un-tersuchungen zur Todesursachenermittlung bei ungeklärten Sterbefällen als Dienstaufgabe durch. Hierzu wird unter anderem ein hochauflösendes massenspektrometrisches Analysesystem eingesetzt.
